Sheraton Eatontown Festival of Trees Support and Spirit Series goes out to Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center. This years event will feature over 30 local charitable and non-profit organizations. The goal in writing these posts is further exposure for participating groups with the hopes of drawing in folks who may never have heard of them before. Our Festival of Trees team wants to raise money for charity and make this our best year out of the 22 we have been hosting Festival of Trees.

Friends of the Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center seeks to raise funds to complete construction of the child friendly facility by continuing to develop community awareness and to support a coordinated response to child abuse.  A volunteer driven non-profit formed in 2003 to spearhead the effort to build a new advocacy center for our local children on Kozloski Road in Freehold, NJ.

Child Advocacy Centers exist in many communities around the country to provide the best standards of practice for the investigation, management, treatment and prosecution of child abuse cases.  The vision is to create “one team, one coordinated response to embrace the victims of child abuse.”    In August 2009 the first part of the Center was completed and services began.  We are now embarking on Phase 2 of our Capital Campaign to raise $2.3 million for a full medical suite, therapy rooms and additional office space.
